Six people set up a "climate crime scene" during the second day of Joint Review Panel hearings on Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline project in Vancouver this morning.

The group made their way into the secured location in the Sheraton Wall Center, where the hearings have been closed off to spectators. Once inside, they revealed T-shirts with anti-pipeline messages and used police tape to cordon off the hearing area.

The three-person panel is currently hearing public comments on the Northern Gateway plan, with access limited to participants.

Climate change, which the group of protesters was attempting to call attention to today, has been deemed as outside of the panel's mandate and participants have been instructed not to talk about it, said Vancouver activist Sean Devlin.

The group was removed by police before the hearings got back underway.
