One man is in police custody after an early morning break and enter and search near North Nechako Road.
Shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a business on Preston Road that had been broken into. A witness saw a man leaving with a utility terrain vehicle (side-by-side ATV) towing a trailer with another side-by-side and ATV.
The trailer with the side-by-side and ATV were found near the intersection of Fairburn North Nechako Roads. Officers surrounded the area to search for the suspect and remaining vehicle with the help of the RCMP's police dog service and air service.
By 9 a.m., the remaining side-by-side was recovered and a 41-year-old man - from the Edmonton area, but living in Prince George - was arrested without incident.
The investigation is continuing and police said a number of property-related charges will be recommended to Crown Counsel.
