A third armed robbery in three days was committed Monday evening when a gas station at the corner of Fifth and Carney was targeted.
The incident, which occurred just after 7:30 p.m., involved a man who pulled out a what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash before fleeing on foot, according to Prince George RCMP.
A handgun was also used on Friday night when Subway restaurants near Westgate and in the Hart were hit within 45 minutes of each other, although two men were alleged to have committed those acts.
"Prince George RCMP are aware of the similarities between this investigation and the two recent
robberies of local restaurants," Cpl. Craig Douglass said. "We are actively looking into the possibility that the same suspect was involved in all three offences."
The suspect in the latest incident is described as Caucasian, about 30 years old, with short, dark brown hair and wearing a dark green hoody and jeans.
The suspects in the Friday night incidents were also described as Caucasian men, but in their late teens or early 20s.
The heavier set of the two was wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and black sunglasses and the other, thinner, shorter one was wearing a dark jacket, khaki pants and black sunglasses.
Police also believe they used a dark-coloured pickup, possibly driven by a third person, to make their way between the destinations.
The first occurred at 9 p.m. at 6333 Southridge near Westgate Shopping Centre and the second 45 minutes later at 6477 HIghway 97 North near Austin Road.
