It's more bad news for mill workers in Prince George.
Employees at the Prince George Pulp and Paper mill were notified yesterday (Sept. 3) that the mill will be down for two weeks following previously scheduled turnaround maintenance.
Canfor spokesperson Michelle Ward says the turnaround will run from Sept. 14 to 22, with the mill staying shut down until Oct. 7.
She says weak demand and low prices for UBK pulp and kraft paper are to blame.
