Tara Szerensci, Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society vice-president of finance and corporate services and Donna Flood, the society's executive director hold Ambra Colebank's winning ticket in the Dream Home Lottery drawn at the house Friday afternoon.

Amber Colebank is the winner of the Prince George Hospice Dream Home Lottery.

Her ticket, No. 5920 out of 13,999 sold was drawn from the barrel Friday afternoon at the $950,000 house, located in the Nechako View subdivision at 4185 Mears Ct.

“No way, on my gosh, thank you so much,” was the Prince George woman's reaction when told by Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society executive director Donna Flood that she’d won the house.

All 13,999 tickets for the house, at $100 each, were sold by Dec. 8. It’s the sixth consecutive sellout in the 12-year history of the Dream Home Lottery.

Tickets are still available for the PG Hospice Palliative Care Society 50/50 draw, which will fund a new home care program in 2023. The $125,000 jackpot will be drawn Dec. 31 at 10:30 p.m. at the New Year’s Eve Boogie With the Stars Gala at the Prince George Convention and Civic Centre.

“The 50/50 supports our new hospice program supporting people to die in their homes,” said Flood.

“The 50/50 is to support a brand-new non-funded program. We will start that program probably in February or the beginning or March. When you choose hospice you can choose to either die in your home or come to our hospice house.”
