Grace Dove and Joe Syme, siblings from Prince George, discuss their day on episode 3 of The Amazing Race Canada's 11th season on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

In the third episode of The Amazing Race Canada Season 11, Prince George siblings Grace Dove and Joe Syme faced a significant setback after being one of two teams U-Turned during a Double U-Turn vote.

Despite the challenge, the pair completed both Detour tasks and managed to finish the leg in fifth place.

The episode began in Calgary, where teams signed up for one of two flights to Vancouver. While the flight order initially appeared to matter, it was ultimately negated by an equalizer due to limited hours at the first challenge location.

Tension built early when teams were asked to vote on a Double U-Turn. Although Jesse Harink and Jonathan Braun were the primary targets of several teams, a strategic move by the pair led to Dove and Syme being named as an alternative. This resulted in votes from three teams against the siblings, placing them alongside Harink and Braun as the teams selected for the U-Turn.

After completing a clue-solving challenge at BC Place, Dove and Syme worked closely with Ika Wong and Demetres Giannitsos, sharing answers at multiple points in the leg. They successfully performed a singing task at a film set — fitting, as Dove is an actress — and won their hockey face-off match, keeping pace with the lead pack.

The U-Turn forced Dove and Syme to complete both sides of the Detour: a riddle-based item hunt at an antiques mall and a health-themed memory task at a café. They completed both efficiently and left the Detour in fifth place.

They arrived at the Pit Stop at Cultus Lake Adventure Park behind only Harink and Braun, Wong and Giannitsos, Lacey and Celia Koughan and the team of Rebecca Merasty and Rebecca Ekanale Watt. Osas and Esosa Igbinosun were the last pair to finish and were eliminated.

The series airs Tuesday nights on CTV. A segment was filmed in Prince George in the spring but it's unclear on when that will air.
