Police are on the lookout for a man believed responsible for attacking and seriously injuring three people outside a Prince George nightspot on Friday.

Provincial Crown counsel has approved two counts of aggravated assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm against Jason Dennis Townsend, 36, who remained on the loose as of Monday morning.

Townsend is suspected of attacking two men and one woman outside Alibis, in the National Hotel at First and Dominion, during the early morning hours on Friday. All three were taken to hospital with serious but non-lifethreatening injuries.

Townsend is well-known to police and the courts and has been identified as a former member of the Renegades Motorcycle Club, a local affiliate of the Hells Angels.

Townsend's criminal record includes two convictions for assault and three drug related convictions. In June 2010, he was sentenced to nine months in jail for possession for the purpose of trafficking and two firearms charges after he was arrested in Bear Lake.

He was last in the news in June 2010 when he and another man were arrested following a police raid on a marijuana grow operation on Chief Lake Road.

Gerald Robert Cunningham was eventually sentenced to a year in jail for production of a controlled substance in relation to the growop where 150 plants were found.

At the time of the arrest, police said Townsend was found in a vehicle a short distance away with a fully-loaded and prohibited semi-automatic assault rifle. However, charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order were eventually stayed due to a lack of evidence that Townsend was in care and control of the weapon.

Townsend is described as Caucasian, 5'8" (173 cm) tall, weighing 196 lbs (89 kg) with short sandy blonde hair, blue eyes a "Death Before Dishonour" tattoo on his left forearm and a diagonal scar on his forehead.

Townsend is considered dangerous and should not be approached, police warn. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca or text-a-tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword 'pgtips.'
