A Prince George man is becoming an all too familiar face as far as the Prince George RCMP are concerned.
For the third time in the last four months, Neil Romeo Joseph Hamel, 37, has been arrested on drug-related allegations, the latest occurring on Wednesday when police executed a search warrant on a 2900 block Upland Street home.
Significant amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine were found at the scene, Cpl. Craig Douglass said Friday. Marijuana, ecstasy and a crossbow were also located and seized and upon entering the home, a 15-year-old youth and a two-year-old child were encountered.
The home is located across the street from Van Bien elementary school, Douglass also noted.
In June, Hamel was arrested near Milburn and Pine when he was seen riding a bike without a light during the early morning hours. Originally intending to issue him a ticket, the RCMP general duty member was soon considering more serious charges when he found a collapsible baton and, upon a further search found a knife, a can of mace and quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine.
And in July, Hamel was arrested near the corner of Queensway and 20th by the Prince George crime reduction team, who found cocaine and methamphetamine.
Following both arrests, Hamel was released on bail. He will remain in custody on the latest arrest at least until his next court appearance on Oct. 16.
