Alert issued for rubber money orders

Local merchants are being warned about two people allegedly passing fraudulent money orders in Prince George.

Local merchants are being warned about two people allegedly passing fraudulent money orders in Prince George.

The aboriginal couple, described as a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, is reported to have bounced fake money orders with the BMO (Bank of Montreal) logo printed on them.

A strong possibility remains that the two are continuing to pass more of the documents and cashiers are urged to call the bank of issue to make sure they're genuine, Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said.
