Light winds and dry conditions continue to hinder the Prince George region and prompted the Ministry of Environment and the Northern Health Authority to keep an air quality advisory for Prince George in effect Wednesday.

A disturbance was expected to roll into the region late Wednesday night, with conditions expected to improve as that disturbance passes through today.

As with all air quality advisories, those with chronic medical conditions should avoid strenuous outdoor activity until the advisory is lifted.

Infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes or suffer from lung or heart disease are advised to be particularly cautious with exposure.

Prince George Transit will continue to offer free transit until 11:59 p.m. of the day the advisory ends.
