Affordable housing is solution to homelessness, say poll takers

During the last poll The Citizen asked "what should be done to improve the homeless situation in Prince George?"

"More affordable housing, especially for the working poor" took 48 per cent with 452 votes, while trailing significantly behind was "more social workers, street nurses and mental health and addictions support" took 23 per cent with 211 votes. Coming in closely was "nothing - the situation is already well managed and eliminating it entirely is impossible" with 20 per cent and 191 votes.

And lastly with eight per cent, 79 voters thought perhaps "more police officers and foot patrols" was the answer.

There was a total of 933 votes. Remember, this is not a scientific poll.
