Eight Prince George organizations have received $425,000 in provincial funding through the community gaming grant program.
The organizations receiving funding are Prince George Recycling and Environmental Action and Planning Society (REAPS) - $26,000; Prince George Search and Rescue Society - $60,000; Prince George Regional Highway Rescue Society - $40,000; Prince George Crime Stoppers Association - $8,000; Volunteer Prince George - $20,000; Prince George Alano Society - $100,000; Elder Citizen Recreation Association - $71,700; Prince George Native Friendship Centre Society - $100,000.
The grants were announced this week by the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.
