Excalibur Theatre Arts Company presents its year-end recital, We Are Family Saturday, June 11.

Students aged three to 17 perform three different dance shows at Vanier Hall on June 11 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and the grand finale at 7 p.m.

"I encourage everyone to attend the evening performance. It's going to be quite a show with great choreography and beautiful costumes," said artistic director of Excalibur, Bonnie Leach.

A Touch of Disney will see the youngsters take to the stage from 11 a.m. to noon.

"Each performance has a theme taken from Disney," she said.

Then the seven to 17-year-olds perform a matinee from 2 to 4 p.m. called Dancing Through the Ages.

"We'll be covering dance in different eras from the '40s to modern day," said Leach.

And the final performance encapsulates the theme We Are Family.

"Well, they are family, these are the kids who have danced together for about 20 hours a week for years," Leach said. "So, the theme of the show is very fitting. The show is a celebration of their accomplishments."

Summer camps take place Aug. 8 to 12 with a huge variety of different dance disciplines that will be taught at all levels from beginner to advanced.

"When you come to the dance camp you get a bit of everything," said Leach. "We have guest instructors from Toronto who will teach."

Olivia Herman and Alison Keery, who are both training to dance professionally in Toronto, will be coming back to Prince George.

There are many local instructors teach during the camp as well.

Students can pre-registration for regular fall classes until the year end recital June 11.

"This gives people a chance to reserve a place in class early as well as offering a 15 per cent discount on September classes," said Leach.

This fall there will be a lot more classes over a number of age groups and disciplines.

"We have a really strong teaching staff in place for the fall classes," said Leach. "We're really excited about that. We have put the focus on the students."
