Bill Dunbar, Tim Power and Art Betke of the Prince George Woodturners Guild are some of the artisans who are being showcased during the House and Home exhibit at Studio 2880 from August 11 to Sept. 10.

House and Home is the latest exhibit on display in the feature gallery in Studio 2800 at the Community Arts Council of Prince George & District beginning August 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.

This exhibit will showcase the Prince George Woodturners Guild’s statement pieces to view while woodturning techniques are demonstrated as artisans share their love of uniquely different types of wood and quality craftsmanship.

Patrons of the arts will see locally handcrafted functional art on display in house and home vignettes to highlight French-style rolling pins, cutting boards, bowls and specialty items including delicate wood inlays and live-edge pieces.

The Prince George Woodturners recently returned to their original home at Studio 2880 and hold monthly guild meetings for turning demonstrations on the lathe, safety check-ins, updates on the guild and a wood raffle for all members.

The best selection of wares will be available early on in the exhibit that will continue until September 10. The Gallery at 2880-15th Avenue hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
