This family-friendly musical performance celebrates the legendary 1939 MGM film, The Wizard of Oz.

This show has special effects as the twister blows through Kansas, then as the story of Dorothy, Toto and their new friends Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion unfolds and all their adventures are told, the costumes, choreography and timeless songs bring it all to life.

Nigel West, director, Leigh Constantine, choreographer and Tim McQuillen-Wright set and costume designer use the glitz and glam of art deco Hollywood as the technicolour background for the Wizard of Oz.

The tornado hits the farm where Dorothy lives she and her little dog Toto go Over the Rainbow where they find themselves in Munchkin Land and travel through the Haunted Forest to their destination of the Emerald City.

Audience members can look forward to hearing songs like Over the Rainbow, Ding Dong the Witch is Dead and Merry Old Land of Oz as they follow the gang down the yellow brick road.

Tickets are on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets for the one show Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at CN Centre.
