Clive Keen, community relations committee chair for the Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre Society said the board presented a proposal that focused on two downtown locations to city council and it's in their hands now.
Mike Davis, communications manager and citizen engagement for the city, said the performing arts centre has been identified in council's strategic plan as a priority project but council has not made a decision to proceed with the project but through the society work, evaluate the feasibility.
There has been some work done to date, as council funded the society to do specific tasks in phase one and in the near future Davis said he will provide more information about what lead to a phase II agreement and what this agreement calls for.
