FRIDAY

Foodie Fridays

What: Food trucks and entertainment at Canada Games Plaza in downtown Prince George

When: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Canada Games Plaza

Sarah Osorne and the Magic Buttons at the PG Legion

What: Sarah Osborne is a singer-songwriter from the west coast of Canada. She has played vastly diverse stages, from train cars crossing the country as part of the ‘Via Rail Artists on Board Program’, to house concerts in the Maritimes, outdoor bars in Honduras, and the Capital Ballroom in Victoria, BC. She appears as a one-woman show, alongside peers, and often with her talented backing band “The Magic Buttons”.

When: Doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m. Tickets $15 advance, $20 at the door.

SATURDAY

Free paint workshop at Omineca

What: Free oil based nature painting worksop with artist in residence Randall Heppner. Register via email to info@omincaartscentre.com to reserve your spot

When:  1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Omineca Arts Centre at 369 Victoria Street

Swampy/Hang on trail hike with the Caledonia Ramblers

What: The Caledonia Ramblers will lead an easy hike on the Swampy/Hang On Trails in Forests for the World on Saturday, August 5th. This hike should take approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete.

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m

Where: Meet 15 minutes prior to the 9 a.m. departure at the City Hall Parking Lot 110 Patricia Blvd.

High on Life Tour

What: Concert featuring performances by JFinch, Highbryd, Stay young, Bewise, Ezra C., Hayden Cammidge, Tyork, AGKP and Sunday. Tickets are available online.

When: 7 p.m.

SUNDAY

Homestead Days at Huble Homestead

What: This BC Day long weekend Huble Homestead is celebrating Homestead Days, its oldest running event! Go back in time to have fun the old-fashioned way by coming out to enjoy heritage demonstrations such as ice cream and butter making on both Sunday and Monday! 

When: Sunday and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Huble Homestead Historic Site

 

MONDAY
