Island Mountain Arts is hosting an art exhibit featuring local artisans to close out 2021.

The Well Works art show will begin Dec. 9 and go until Jan. 23 each week from Thursday to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a break from Dec. 23 to Jan. 6.

Artists include Amanda Preston, Barry Curtis, Ben Blanchard, Caroline Anders, Connor Kenney, Dannette Boucher, Dirk Van Stralen, Ella Kay, Ellen Partnoy, Jeffery Wannop, Jillian Merrick, Lindsay Kay, Natasha Lepine.

“It’s been fun following these traditional exhibits that have been a part of the essence of the Island Mountain Arts Public Gallery programming since its opening in 1988,” Elyssia Sasaki, executive director of Island Mountain Arts, said. “It’s also a lovely opportunity to see the works that folks have been pouring themselves into warming up our walls in these dark months!”

Sasaki said Wells is a beautiful place this time of year and visitors can explore nearby trails, visit the local cafe and gallery.

“We’d love to see you out for an afternoon of wintery fun,” Sasaki said.

The opening reception for Well Works takes place Dec. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m.

As per Covid protocols all visitors must wear masks and be able to show proof of vaccination for those 12 years and older.

Island Mountain Arts will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 6.
