Walk PG: Wild about Lheidli Keyoh Prince George Outdoor Festival goes May 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cottonwood Island Park.

Come explore and participate in this family-friendly, free event to celebrate adventure, culture and the beauty of nature. There will be a variety of hands-on workshops and activities for all ages, including an opportunity to canoe, learn about Indigenous plant gathering, mycology walk focusing on exploring and identifying fungi.

There will be an elder welcoming and Khast’an Drummers will perform. There will be demonstrations of fish skin tanning and birding with the PG Naturalist Club. There will be lessons offered in beginner camping, a yoga session led by Chinook Yoga, a Poetree Walk and a workshop on Indigenous plants preparation.

To make it a bit easier to get to the celebration there is a shuttle to and from UNBC and Parkwood Mall.
