Dean Coleman, Prince George artist and three-time cancer survivor, created a colouring book to raise funds for the BC Cancer Agency of the North through the Wheelin' Warriors of the North.

Dean Coleman, a Prince George artist and three-time cancer survivor, is using his super powers for good as he sells a cartoon colouring book at Northern FanCon this weekend at CN Centre to raise funds for the BC Cancer Agency of the North.

All funds raised through Coleman’s unique creation, called Colouring Book for a Cause, will go to the Wheelin’ Warriors of the North cycling team who participates in the Tour de Cure August 26-27 where they travel 200 km from Cloverdale to Hope to raise funds and awareness for the cause.

“So... I did a thing,” Coleman posted to Facebook recently.

“Over the last few months I've been doing a bit of art under the radar. I can't recall where the idea came from but I thought how cool would it be to publish a colouring book to raise $$ for BC Cancer?”

All net proceeds, which is approximately $25, from every book sale will be donated.

Coleman went on to say he would be honoured if people would invest in the book.

Minimum donation is $30. He is at booth A26 in the Artists Alley at FanCon until Sunday afternoon.

If you can't make it to FanCon, reach out to Coleman on Facebook to get the book at www.facebook.com/deancolemanartist.
