Urban farmer talks city gardens

The Urban Farmer, Ron Berezan, will present a 3.5 hour workshop Jan. 15 at the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George library from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Urban Farmer, Ron Berezan, will present a 3.5 hour workshop Jan. 15 at the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George library from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Berezan is a professional educator with extensive training in the Bio-Intensive organic gardening methods and Permaculture design. Berezan has been exploring growing food in urban areas for more than 25 years. He operates the Urban Farmer, an edible landscaping and Permaculture design service. Berezan will give a presentation on The Edible City - Growing Food in Urban Areas and offer advice on how to Transform Your Yard - Creating a Natural, Sustainable and Edible Landscape. The focus will be how to best grow food in the region. Refreshments will be served. Tickets are $35 at REAPS, which will be closed between Christmas and New Year's.
