Vets appreciation night

Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena the Spruce Kings hockey team will honour veterans, soldiers and cadets by wearing camouflage jerseys to go up against the Coquitlam Express. This event will also kick off the Legion's poppy campaign. Wear a cadets, Rocky Mountain Rangers or any other military or Prince George Legion uniform and you get in free. Cadets can bring parents, others in military or legion uniform bring spouses and they will get in free, too.

Halloween Spooktacular

Saturday, Oct. 29 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Eagles Hall, 6742 Dagg Rd., there's a dance with music provided by a DJ, costume prizes, midnight lunch, 50/50 draw and games. Tickets are $20 each. For tickets and more information call 250-962-0492 or 250-981-8601.

Craft and collectible fair

Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elder Citizen's Recreation Association, 1692 10th Ave., there will be a craft and collectible fair and bake sale all under one roof. Halloween Fairy Tale

Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum will have a full range of activities for all ages. There will be crafts, games, pumpkin picking and some scary surprises. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation for the Salvation Army Food Bank. S'mores, hot dogs, hot chocolate and ghost train rides are available for purchase. For more information call 250-563-7351.

Artisans of the North fair

Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Northern British Columbia, 3333 University Way, there will be more than 90 artisans with their wares for sale. Home-based business and craft fair

Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Women of the Moose are hosting this event at the lodge, 663 Douglas St., that features a bake table including homemade bread. Studio Fair

Nov. 4, 5, and 6 at the Civic Centre, 808 Canada Games Way, the Prince George & District Community Arts Council will host its annual Studio Fair, which is a juried art fair that provides an opportunity for the community to see original and quality works of art in the marketplace. Hours are Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Day pass for adults, seniors and students is $5, children under 12 are free.
