Dave Sorokathon

Friday at noon at Artspace, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave., Dave Soroka will perform for 24 hours straight - no sleep, minor breaks, if any at all, and he will continue to play original tunes, no repeats, to raise funds in support of festival culture in western Canada. REAPS Annual Plant sale

Synergy Handbell Choir concert

Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 180 Tabor Blvd. S. Good Vibrations is presented by the Synergy Handbell Choir which features Broadway tunes, The Lion King, some pop music and folk tunes. Entry is by donation. For more information visit www.synergyhandbellchoir.com.

Scotiabank MS Walk

Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Kiwanis Bowl Bandshell, Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park, join the 2017 Scotiabank MS walk and help raise funds to end multiple sclerosis. The walk starts and finishes at the bandshell and follows an out and back course along the Fraser River. The route totals 2.25 km. Participants who are up for more of a challenge can complete the route a second time for a total of 4.5 km. Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, 3555 Fifth Ave., enjoy an afternoon concert of favourites played by the Prince George Conservatory of Music faculty and musical guests from Alban Classical and Synergy Handbell Choir. Stone Soup

A Rocky Road to Romance

Thursday, June 1, Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 doors open at 6:30 p.m. show is at 7 p.m. at ArtSpace above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave., the Nechako Community Theatrics Society presents A Rocky Road To Romance, a series of plays about the funny and painful moments in finding true love. Tickets are $20 at Books & Co. and at the door. Cash concession is available before the show and at intermission. There is adult content. Viewer discretion is advised.

Fiddle Jamboree

Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 at St. Michael's Church, 1505 5th Ave., see award-winning bluegrass/country band Jackson Hollow and the BC Old Time Fiddlers. The weekend kicks off with a family dance Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Workshops from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be various levels of fiddle, guitar and vocals taught by qualified instructors from Jackson Hollow members and BC Old Time Fiddlers. Lunch and snacks included. Concert from 7 to 9 p.m. presented by Jackson Hollow, with special guests Courtney Campbell, Chloe Nakahara and Maria Newton.
