There's going to be a glimpse of a new group showcasing their talent at the Farmers' Market this Saturday at Wilson Square at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and you won't see them just standing around said the organizer.

"There will be choreography and a lot of comedy included in the performance," said Lyn Vernon or Lyn Vernon Productions.

It all started with a big fat no, she said.

"Someone asked me to form a group and I said no," said Vernon, who has lived in Prince George for three years. "However I had four really good adult pupils and I thought maybe if I could find enough people we could get a group together."

The people in Song in Motion are very talented, she added.

"These are good musicians and singers and they needed a bit more of a challenge," said Vernon. "When they perform you get a little bit of everything - pop, jazz, classical, opera and folk music. And there's quite a bit of humour. There is choreography to go with almost every song because I'm tired of watching people just standing there and singing."

The bigger shows will be held at Art Space Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue or at Lyn Vernon Productions downstairs from Books & Co.
