In the CTV competition cooking show MasterChef Canada, local youth Cody Karey made it into the Top 12 episode which was a "team challenge" centred on designer poutine recipes, then a solo pasta pressure test. He passed through those challenges and is still alive for the next episode on Sunday night.
Karey is best known for a globally celebrated music career that, as big as it has already been, is just getting going. He is only in his early 20s. From Fort St. James, he is one of the region's arts and culture success stories. His culinary skills on MasterChef Canada are a revelation.
