Sawyer Brown celebrates their 40th anniversary with a Canadian tour that will come to Prince George October 21 at the CN Centre.
The show includes an appearance by Shenandoah with special guest George Fox opening the show.
Sawyer Brown got their start on Star Search with Ed McMahon, before there was The Voice and American Idol, and those millions of television viewers became fans for life.
“One of the unique things about the band is we don’t really have a lot of love songs,” Mark Miller, lead singer and frontman, said. “We have life songs.”
Sawyer Brown keeps delivering their unapologetically blue-collar, grass-roots message through their music.
As the Travelin’ Band song said “they were searchin’ for stars when we came along, it was rock ’n roll in a country song, there were five of us thinking that we can, this is the life and times of a travelin’ band.”
