Murray (Murf) Laidlaw is a Prince George actor who decided that it’s time to try taking on lighter characters in his career after playing the heavy – the biker, the thug - in television and movie roles in the past.
And now local businesses are asking him to shine his talent on the brighter side of life and audiences are loving it.
“It’s nice to be back in my hometown making these fun collaborations with local businesses,” Laidlaw said. “I was super stoked to work with Aberdeen Glen because it’s one of my favourite golf courses ever and I’m just hoping to do more collaborations with more local businesses.”
In this commercial, Laidlaw, who has chosen to anchor himself in Prince George and see where the tide takes him from here, took on the role of an avid golfer who can’t wait to get on the Aberdeen Glen Golf Course.

But he is that guy, so sporting the sauve-only-in-Prince-George look of shorts and gumboots he causes a little kerfuffle and gets into some shenanigans but it’s all for a good cause because it’s an 18-roundabout way to announce that Aberdeen Glen driving range opens Wednesday so people can start perfecting their golf swing.
