With five comedians on the roster the show is going to be Off the Rails at The Firm April 7 and 8.

He’s the comedian and the janitor, Dale Ehrstien said about not only doing stand up but setting up and tearing down as part of shows presented by the Gypsy Entertainment Group.

There are four local comedians taking to the local stage for the next two-night Off the Rails Comedy gig featuring Luke Jonathan from Mexico April 7 and 8.

Comedic stylings range from Ehrstien’s ADD one-liners to Denim Morrison, who Ehrstien says is probably the darkest comedian in Prince George.

In between is Taylor Lakeport from New Brunswick, who brings the 'other province' perspective and Jon White who is a goofy, sweaty kinda nerd, Ehrstien laughed.

Plenty to see here, folks.

Ehrstien has been doing comedy for about six years now.

“But I lived in Smithers at the time and there wasn’t really a scene around there so when I moved here and that comedy club opened and they put out the challenge ‘can you do five minutes?’ That’s when I thought maybe this was it,” Ehrstien explained. “I entered that competition and ended up getting third my first time up out of 16 comedians and the jokes killed. Once I got that first reaction I was hooked.”

Ehrstien kept at it and was soon named funniest comedian in Prince George twice.

“I was getting paid and started making a living and I said ‘hey, there’s something to this,’” Ehrstien said.

Off the Rails Comedy Show goes April 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. at the Firm Lounge and Grill, 363 George St. and features Luke Jonathan from Mexico.

“Five comedians for $15 is the best deal in town,” Ehrstein said.
