MusicFest Fanfare Showcase returns to stage

MusicFest Fanfare Showcase returns to Vanier Hall after two-year absence.

The MusicFest Fanfare Showcase took the stage at Vanier Hall on Thursday evening for the first of two nights of music. The festival is organized and supported by the Band Teachers of School District #57 and brings young participants ranging in ages from ten-years-old to eighteen-years-old from elementary and secondary schools from Prince George and the surrounding area.

Thursday's performance featured pieces from the Heather Park Elementary Band directed by Krista Radway, the College Heights Secondary Grade 8 Band directed by Rob Hannigan, Ecole Duchess Park Secondary Concert Band directed by Jon Campbell, the DP Todd Secondary Grade 9 Band directed by Susan Klein, the College Heights Secondary Concert Band directed by Rob Hannigan, the Prince George Secondary Concert Band directed by Sam Nelles, and the Ecole Duchess Park Secondary Wind Esemble directed by Jon Campbell.

The second night of music will take place starting at 6:45 p.m. on Friday evening and will feature pieces performed by the College Heights Drumline directed by Rob Hannigan, Nechako Valley Secondary School Senior Jazz Band directed by Russell Larden, the DP Todd Junior Jazz Band directed by Susan Klein, the Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary Concert Band directed by Krista Radway, the College Heights Secondary Jazz Band directed by Rob Hannigan, the DP Todd Tour Band direct by Susan Klein, and the SD #57 Tour Band directed by Sam Nelles, Rob Hannigan, and Jon Campbell.
