This Thursday’s Merry & Bright Artisan Market at Studio 2880 sees local artisans showcased at 2880 15th Avenue from 5 to 8 p.m.
Artisans include iconic member of the Prince George community Shirley Gratton who has finally written her memoir called Berries, Baseball and Baskets. She will be on hand to sign each book sold.
“This event is a place where people can grab a hot drink and relax and just enjoy the space,” Christina Watts of Studio 2880 said.
Also at the market will be In Colour Design, with colouring books, Soaps by Tash who uses essential oils and organic materials, Drew Wat Photography who specializes in the Northern Lights and landscapes, 2 Sticks and a Pinecone who creates handknit mittens created from recycled sweaters and fairy tea cup garden kits, and felt ornament with crystals. Four Quarter Carpentry will have wooden ornaments and spoons for sale during the event.
Artist Rick Mintz has created a calendar that includes prints of his original paintings. Proceeds from the calendar go to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Parking is in the back at 2880-15th Avenue, go up the ramp to the back door to get inside the Artisan Gift Shoppe.
