Studio 2880’s first in-person art show since before pandemic restrictions were in place will be hosted in the Feature Gallery showcasing the work of local artist Michael Kast.
The exhibition is called Coming Soon and will open Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring Kast’s digital photography about the "changing realities in which we live."
“The exhibition truly is an expression of how he’s been feeling about a whole host of issues over the last two years,” Lisa Redpath, program manager for the CAC, said. “It’s a beautiful merging of his artistic skill and some of the issues that have really resonated with him.”
There are a whole range of emotions depicted in Kast’s work, she added.
“It’s not just about things that are disturbing - it’s also about things that are beautiful,” Redpath said.
“He’s certainly done just a beautiful job of these very emotional images that will really speak to people. We’ve all been through our ups and downs these last 16 months - we’ve all experienced our inner battles and our joys and successes and this is Michael’s.”
The show can be viewed until Sept. 1 in Studio 2880's Feature Gallery at
