Johnny Reid takes to the stage on Friday night in the first of four sold-out shows

The return of touring live music in Prince George has begun with Johnny Reid opening the first of four sold-out shows on Friday night at Prince George Playhouse. This is the first tour to perform on stage in the city since March 2020 and the enthusiastic crowd was treated to an intimate performance in support of Reid's Love Someone album. The sold-out show saw 300 fans take in the performance with some attendees travelling from as far away as Kitimat and Prince Rupert to enjoy Reid's show.

Opening the night of music was Dharma Bizier who performed three numbers from the musical Maggie. Maggie was written by Johnny Reid and chronicles the life of Maggie, a working-class widowed mother of three boys. The musical was written by Reid as a tribute to his Granny.

Johnny Reid will perform two more times with shows on Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24 before making stops in Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek before coming back for the fourth P.G. show on Monday, May 2.
