Half-Life is getting a bigger audience percentage.
The Theatre NorthWest play has hit such high public demand that they have added shows to accommodate the hunger for this comedic drama.
The play lets the audience look in on a pair of elders who meet up in a nursing home, or have they perhaps met before? It also looks at their adult children who might perhaps be feeling sparks between each other while the senior members of the family feel some chemistry of their own.
Other characters move in and out of the action: a nurse who may be crossing the lines of professionalism or might be giving hope to someone who needs it; a clergyman who fumbles for the right way to say difficult things; a neighbouring elder who doesn't have the same sunny disposition as the others around her.
This expertly crafted script by John Mighton, a playwright as famous for his groundbreaking mathematics achievements as he is in the arts, was the magnet to attract perhaps the strongest cast, actor for actor, that TNW has ever assembled on one stage. The ticket-buying public has agreed.
The play's run has been extended to include April 13 and 14. Tickets can be obtained in person at Books & Company or online at the TNW website.
