The second annual Women in Song was held Saturday night at 8:30 at the Legion.
Lecia Forster, Darlene Shatford, Julie Slade and new-to-the-event Cindy Larsen-Marcotte will perform in order to raise funds for the Hospital Foundation for a Breast Cancer Support program called Supporting Women with Breast Cancer.
"Cindy has never done a solo with another band, she has always played with the Pucks," said Forster. "So this is a bit different for her."
Forster said she is excited to be part of this fundraiser once again.
"I don't think there is anyone that hasn't been affected by some form of cancer," said Forster. "It just seems that cancer touches everyone and I would like to give something back."
The event offers a diverse selection of music as each singer has their own distinct sound, including jazz, pop, rock and folk.
"This is such a good cause and I know it's going to be a lot of fun," Forster said.
