A local film director needs all the black-clad creeps available today for a little cloister in the woods.

Prince George filmmaker Jon Chuby is throwing out an open casting call for a horror movie he is making. The story calls for dark clothing, especially black hoodies or toques.

"The more cult-like you are able to look, the more you will be on camera," said Chuby.

"The scene we are filming involves a clown cult-like aftermath following our protagonist's journey. As such, we need as many people as we can get for a single take. Bring your friends, families, but leave your dog and youngsters at home. The more diverse the crowd the better."

The name of this latest project is Clown Alley. It's the latest production by Picaroon Pictures, the all-P.G. film company Chuby, fellow filmmaker Dan Stark and friends founded a couple of years ago after the number of their short-films started to add up. Their efforts have gotten so ambitious that Chuby and Stark aren't even working together on Clown Alley, since Stark has his own film underway at the same time.

"For the shoot this weekend, we are filming the very last shot of the entire film," Chuby said.

"We essentially need as many people as we can to really sell how large the cult is.

"We want everyone to show up in black with either hoods or black hats to keep us all with the same look. People can be creative with the costumes if they like and the more cult like they look the closer they will be positioned to the camera. We are going to do a draw as well for people that show up for a gift card to Boston Pizza."

Those interested in a black-clad walk in the local park are asked to assemble in Moore's Meadow at 11 a.m. this morning.
