Diwali, Festival of Lights, presented by the Prince George Hindu Cultural Society, takes place Oct. 29 at the Civic Centre.
The society celebrates this annual family event on a grand scale and the festival features cocktails and appetizers followed by an authentic Indian meal, with a special menu for youngsters. Guests are encouraged to dress in colourful festival attire to enjoy live music as well as cultural entertainment.
Diwali falls on a new moon in October or November every year and is considered to be the biggest festival in India, like Christmas is in Canada.
Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for youth 13 to 18 years, children 12 and under are free. Everyone is welcome to attend.
