Thursday, Dec. 29 and Friday, Dec. 30 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Central BC Railway & Forestry Industry Museum for the annual Celebration of Lights. Saturday, Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. at Artspace, 1685 Third Ave., above Books & Co., there is a end of the year comedy bash featuring Brian Majore and his friends. Tickets are $10 each.
Boogie With The Stars
Saturday, Dec. 31 there is a dinner dance held at the Civic Centre and features music and dance for everybody, with an excellent dinner, great entertainment, together with a fundraiser for the University Hospital of Northern BC in coordination with Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

Caledonia Ramblers hike or snowshoe
Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Caledonia Ramblers will lead an easy snowshoe/hike up the Who's Home trail, starting from the Greenway/UNBC parking lot, on New Year's Day. The trip should take 3 to 4 hours and cover 5 to 7 kilometres. Participants should bring warm clothing, adequate food, and a hot drink, as well as snowshoes and ice cleats, if they have them. Free Cross-Country Classic Ski Lesson
Monday, Jan. 9 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Otway, home of the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, seniors 55+ are invited to attend a free cross-country classic ski lesson. Non-members must pay a trail user fee.
