Light, shiny, happy things are expected to brighten the walls of the Groop Gallery as artists take up the challenge to create work for the Into the Light exhibit that opens Friday night at 7 p.m.
"I was very excited to see the large number of works that were submitted by existing as well as new artists to the Groop Gallery," said Melanie Desjardines, owner of the gallery, located at 1127 Third Ave.
This is the fifth Groop show, which perfectly showcases the many diverse and talented local and regional artists.
To celebrate the Groop Gallery's first anniversary, a 10 per cent discount will be offered on the sale of any artwork on opening night. The exhibit will be on display until July 5.
The Groop Gallery's regular hours are Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
