Cinema CNC and the College of New Caledonia Black History Month Committee will be holding a free screening of Pele on Saturday, and Aloe Vera on Friday.

Cinema CNC and the College of New Caledonia Black History Month Committee are hosting a pair of free public movie screenings this weekend.

On Friday at 7 p.m., the groups will be screening Aloe Vera. The film, produced in Ghana, focuses on “a community that is focused on what divides it and how the citizens come to another way of seeing the world.”

“With humour and charm, Aloe Vera plays out like a folk tale for the modern world,” according to information released by Cinema CNC.

On Saturday at 7 p.m., the groups will screen Pele- a documentary about the Brazilian soccer superstar, and “the turbulent era he lived in.”

Both screenings will take place in room 1-306 at the College of New Caledonia campus in Prince George, and are free and open to the public.
