The main event may not be going ahead as scheduled, but the headliner concert still has the green light.
Canadian Christian worship band The Color will be live on the Prince George Playhouse stage Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door (cash only).
The Color is a four-piece pop-rock band from Winkler, Man.
They have released the singles One Sure Thing, Gloria (Angels We Have Heard On High), What I Would Say To You, Surprise and others. They have launched a full-length album and two EPs, the most recent of which is entitled Eyes Wide Open.
The Color's appearance in Prince George is thanks to the P.G. Youth For Christ group, which had been planning a full-day program of community service and worship activities. They called it Increase based on the passage from the Bible, "He must increase; I must decrease" found at John 3:30.
The Increase daytime events had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but the evening concert was still good to go.
"If you would still like to volunteer (no cost), there will be some people meeting at the Playhouse at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and heading out from there. If you have any questions, please message us on Facebook," said a statement issued by the Increase organizers.
Advance tickets to see The Color can be purchased online at their website (click on Store then click Tickets). Also available there are tickets to their concerts in Vanderhoof, Williams Lake and Quesnel on this northern B.C. tour.
