Take a step back into a 1920s cabaret lounge to enjoy some vintage jazz pieces performed by the Bel Canto Choirs.

Ain't Misbehavin' is presented Saturday at the Prince George Playhouse at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Each of the choirs, including the junior choir for ages six to 12, the youth choir for ages 12 to 18 and Northern Voices is for adults, will perform.

Someone has stolen the loot from Cabaret Criminale and Bel Canto needs the audience to help solve the who-dun-it mystery. Fans are encouraged to see if they can spot the culprit during the concert.

This is a family show and audience members will enjoy upbeat renditions of theme songs like The Pink Panther, James Bond, Mack the Knife.

The Bel Canto Choirs were founded in 1981 to provide solo and choral opportunities for Prince George Youth. They have won numerous awards at the provincial, national and international levels. This April the Bel Canto Youth Choir will be traveling to California to perform with Disney Performing Arts and to Oceanside Jazz Festival to hone their jazz skills. Bel Canto Choirs, a non-profit parent-run organization, continues to provide opportunities for youth and adults to explore choral signing as a musical art form, through education and performance.

The Ain’t Misbehavin’ concert is a time of mystery and vintage jazz.

Tickets are $15 each and are available at Studio 2880 or at the door.
