Children's book launch by Metis author and artist at Studio 2880

There’s a book launch Thursday night at 6 p.m. at Studio 2880, featuring The First Salmon Run, The Bear Cubs’ Adventure, a children’s book written by local Metis author Rhonda Girard and illustrated by local Metis artist Erin Stagg.

The story is about Father Bear taking his two babies to the river for their first salmon run.

Along the way the family of bears meets their friends squirrel, seal and salmon. With each meeting the cubs learn about friendship, determination and courage.
