One of Canada's beloved and veteran troubadours, Bill Bourne, will perform live in Prince George on Friday night.
Has was one half of the popular folk duo Bourne & McLeod, a frequent collaborator with fellow folkie Shannon Johnson (of The McDades), a member of world beat trio Tri-Continental, The Tannahill Weavers out of Scotland, and other celebrated musical projects.
He is known as much for stellar guitar playing as for his caramel folk voice and for balancing ear-pleasing and brain-engaging lyrics.
He has won a Juno Award, among other accolades, and has been out on the road winning audiences over since 1975. His first solo album was recorded in 1980. His most recent was just released this year.
The latest project is called Hummingbird.
Bourne will be at the Prince George Legion on Friday night. Tickets are $20 available at the Legion or by calling 778-349-7136.
This is a full-menu show in a licensed venue. All ages are welcome at this event.
