Northern B.C.'s first son of world beat, Alex Puentes, is up for another Juno Award. The Smithers resident, born and raised in Cuba, performs under the name The Alex Cuba Band.
He won the Juno in 2006 for his solo debut 'Humo de Tabaco' and in 2008 for its follow-up 'Agua del Pozo'.
