Kill Matilda is live in Prince George Saturday at Third, 1157 Third Avenue. Kill Matilda is a Vancouver-based rock group with hints of punk and metal. Local groups performing are Morbid Curiosity and Werty and returning from a two-year hiatus is The Linga Sarira. Doors open at 7 and show starts at 8 p.m.

An Evening of Music at Knox will take place Saturday at 7:30 p.m. There will be a variety of musicians performing including Borealis Chamber Singers, Beverly Smith and Steven Holland.

Annual charity yard sale and fun days at the Railway and Forestry Museum, 850 River Road, will take place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a pancake breakfast and barbecue lunch available, train rides and a yard sale. Admission is free with a donation to the Salvation Army food bank.

REAPS will hold a backyard composting workshop Saturday at 2 p.m. and a vermicomposting workshop at 3:15 at the garden at 1950 Gorse Street. Everyone is welcome. People can purchase Earth Machine composters for $45 each. For more information call 250-561-7327.

PGSO violinist Leanne Drewlo will join local act the Exit Glow Saturday at 8:30 p.m. for an evening of rock, pop and folk music at Nancy O's, 1261 Third Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge for the event.
