Police have caught up to a man at large on charges in Prince George and Williams Lake.
RCMP arrested Shawn Abel Arsenault in Smithers on Saturday when police in the community west of Prince George were called to a break and enter in progress.
Arsenault attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended, police said, and remains in custody one one count each of theft over $5,000 and obstructing a peace officer as well as two counts of breaching a release order.
He also continues to face a count of assault causing bodily harm from an alleged November 2022 incident in Prince George and nine firearms-related charges from an alleged July 2022 incident in Williams Lake.
Police said a woman was also arrested in Smithers and later released on a promise to appear in court in October. Her name was not provided.
