Two RCMP officers were critically injured in a hit-and-run in South Burnaby Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the area by North Fraser Way and Glenlyon Parkway just after 11:30 a.m. for reports of pedestrians struck, according to assistant fire Chief Greg Young.
He said the pedestrians turned out to be two RCMP officers who had been training in the area.
BC Emergency Health Services confirmed two people were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The vehicle that struck the officers fled the scene, according to Young.
RCMP closed a section of North Fraser Way between Glenlyon Parkway and Byrne Road to investigate.
