Almost as soon as it started, it ended.
Environment Canada pulled a warning for a severe thunderstorm shortly before 2 p.m. today, saying the system has weakened and moved out of the region.
The move came barely 15 minutes after upgrading a thunderstorm watch to a full-fledged warning while the boom of thunder could be heard in the distance.
A few showers or thunderstorms remains listed on the agency's hourly forecast for the next couple hours.
