Prince George RCMP arrested a suspect after a local gas station was the target of gun play on Friday night.

Police said the apprehension was made within an hour of the detachment receiving a report shortly after 10 p.m. that a man fired multiple rounds at the station in the 2500 block of Range Road.

Witnesses told police he had been causing a disturbance in the store and had gotten into a fight with another customer. Shortly after, he was seen returning in a white, four-door car and firing off the rounds as he drove by. No injuries were reported.

The arrest was made at about the same time RCMP were in pursuit of a suspect after a police vehicle had been rammed in connection with a separate matter,

"Despite both of these complex investigations happening simultaneously, our officers were successful in arresting both suspects that night," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.

The suspect was released back to the community on an undertaking with a future court date. His name was not released.
