He demonstrated that he makes poor decisions, not paying his property taxes while heading the city's finance and audit department, three years in a row.

Despite the large number of candidates, voter turnout tends to be low in municipal elections, sometimes as low as 30 per cent of eligible voters voting and unfortunately I am expecting much of the same these municipal elections.

Coun. Brian Skakun raised concerns about letters of support written by the mayor and city staff for the Best Damn Music Festival, produced by Kyle Sampson Productions.

We wanted to see for ourselves the communication between Sampson and city staff that led to the letters and report what was newsworthy to the public.

A total of 247 respondents (20 per cent) voted that they hadn’t decided yet.
